Q: How do I adjust the headlites on a 2003 GMC Sierra? There are 2 different adjustment screws.?
I replaced the drivers lens and it doesn't project on low beam like the one on the right side.
A: 1 is up/down the other left/right if they are not marked then it will have to be trial and error. park the truck exactly 20 feet from a wall and adjust the beam so it just touches the ground or bottom of the wall at 20 feet. this will be a perfect adjustment and not blind on comming traffic. your local walmart should have just the wall your looking for.
Q: what exhaust system sounds best on a 2003 gmc sierra 1500 4.3l v6?
I have a 2003 gmc sierra 1500 with a 4.3l v6 and i would like to put a dual exhaust system on it to give it a better sound, I dont want it to be so loud i just want a nice sound when i take off or stomp on it. any feed back is appreciated
A: I would go with a Flowmaster system. You will get a nice,deep sound. Plus a horsepower and fuel milage increase. They make a direct fit model.
Q: I have a 2003 Gmc Sierra & when I turn the steering wheel it makes a popping noise. Any1 know how to fix it?
My truck is a Z71 and my warranty just ran out. Im trying to see if it is something I can get fixed without taking it to a mechanic.
A: is this a 4 wheel drive?,does this happen when you turn into a tight turn, and if so is, the front lockers may be engaged. along with the noise the wheel seem to hop?. on the 4 wheel drives have CV joints and the u-joint with them are behind dust boots and are not easily checked.jack the front end up with wheels off the ground you can grab the shaft between the collar twist it and push and pull it checking for slop it may also be just a knuckle joint on your steering shaft. do you hear coming from inside the cab under the dash or outside.with truck stationary and running turn the steering wheel and do you hear it .this will tell you if it is a steering shaft problem some other things to look at with the steering are the tie rod ends, the steering box, idler arm and control arm. hope this helps

Q: 2003 gmc sierra air bag light wont go off?
Is there anyway to disable or reset the air bag light coming on, on my computer? It's for the driver's side air bag. It won't do it with computer to reset the problem. any help would be great.
A: the light stays on because there is a problem with the system you need to get back to the dealer and let them look at it. warranty should cover this.
Q: 2003 GMC Sierra grease points?
Does anyone know where the grease points are on a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0L. The greaseing is part of routine service along with an oil change.
A: I own a shop, and it is amazing at the vehicles that doesn't have grease (Zerk) fittings anymore. It used to be we greased the complete front end (ball joints, tie rod ends, drag link, Pittman arm, and Idler arm) and the drive shaft/shafts, but now days there are no fittings to grease, unless you go purchase a pack of them, and install them yourself. I guess we are living in a world of throw away vehicles now. When a part wears out, the replacement part has a fitting. Matter of fact; there aren't even a hole for a fitting to be installed in, so you would have to drill & tap threads in it to install them. The manufactures sure have cut cost at our expense, but they all are this way now.

Q: My left tail light on my 2003 GMC Sierra wont work.?
I know its not the bulb because I switched it with the right which is working fine. When I press the brake they both work, but without pressing the brake only the right one works. What can be the problem?
A: You probably have a faulty ground/connection at the left socket. Take the socket lose and clean all the connection points with fine sandpaper or a small wire brush. Put it back together, and hopefully it'll work.
Q: Where exactly is the remote door lock receiver located on my 2003 GMC Sierra Z71 ext. cab?
My remote stopped working so I replaced the battery, only to realize that it still wouldn't work. I tried the program mode for this particular vehicle, but the truck won't respond to the transmitter. The dealership checked the remote after replacing the battery and it worked. So the only thing I know to do now is check the receiver but I don't know where it is on the truck. Any help would be very appreciated.

Q: How do I fix the transfer case on my 2003 4X4 GMC Sierra?
The four wheel drive will not work and I need to know how to fix the transfer case in order to get the four wheel drive working again.
A: well i am gonna throw out a few possible answers to this. If you have a push button 4wd there can be a few things you need to check. One would be the actuator on the transfer case that puts it in 4wd. The other even if it is a manual transfer case is the switch on the front end. It is highly unlikely you messed up the transfer case. Unless you was really acting the fool in the truck. Even then usually you tear up the tranny before the transfer case. It is more than likely one of the electrical items i listed.
Q: my 2003 gmc sierra alternator has had a minor squeal for a couple of days.?
The check engine light just came on, but the battery guage says it is still getting a charge. Is it possible the alternator could be bad enough to set off the check engine light but still charge the battery
A: Sounds like a bearing has gone to me, easy enough to check grasp the pulley and see if there is any excessive movement there shouldnt be any really. you can strip and rebuild the alternator yourself the bearing should be available, but save yourself blood sweat and tears and go get another from a dismantlers or a reconditioned one from your dealers (take old alternator with you)

My dad had an Edge Juice with Attitude on his 2003 GMC Duramax Sierra and he had to get the fuel pump replaced, and now he doesn't know whether or not he should put the Juice back on because he doesn't know if the Juice caused the problem.
A: first it is an injection pump not a fuel pump. an aftermarket
programmer could cause the failure by placing too much demand on the pump. most likely it just failed and the programmer didn't make too much difference
