A: NO!!! I would never haul anyone of mine with that!!
You need a MINIMUM of 114 wheel Base to safely tow, stop & handle the horse trailer full!!!!
I have seen a Ford Ranger flipped on it's side with both horses that had to be put down!!!! That is NOT a safe truck to haul with!!!!!!!!

A: I installed cruise on my F150. Ford makes factory cruise kits for your truck so check on EBay that's where I got mine. If you are mechanically inclined and can read instructions it is not that hard or pay someone to install it. I paid $140 for mine at the ford dealer they wanted $450 so keep looking you will find one.

Q: Why do my interior lights stay on in my 2001 ford ranger?
my dome lights stay on as if my doors are open. and the little light on my dash says a door is open. I have four doors so I shut every door over and over and they still stay on. This just started happening yesterday.
the ford dealership offered to put my truck on a scanner but I didn't have time to do it. then later I found out it would cost a lot of money to have it scanned. is this necessary?
I have tried the the dial on the dash board that dims the dash board lights. It doesn't seem to affect the interior lights though.
And it was dark out side, so I couldn't find the pins in the door. This truck is new to me so I don't know much about it yet..
I had someone else look at the book that was in the glove compartment, and he couldn't find anything about the interior lights.
A: This is what you do.
You grab some graphite lube--NOT WD-40 as it is a penetrant and will ruin some paint--spray that stuff all up into the door latch where the switch really is, then work the door for a little while until things loosen up.

I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge, the odometer and windshield wipers, and the bell sound when your seatbelt buckle isn't buckled doesn't work? I have checked the blade fuses under the hood and in the fuse panel. They all test good, there are larger fuses (black square ones) under the hood that I don't know how to test. I amagine it is a fuse because they all stop working around the same time. Can anyone tell me what would make them work again or where I should be looking for the problem?
A: it has to be a fuse, maybe you miss it when you check every one of them. Why dont you give a call your Local NAPA store or PEP BOYS. They could tell you which one it is. Or check your owners manual in the last page it shows you which fuse goes where and when to replace.

A: the handle has an allen head or torx screw in the shoulder of handle.

Q: Is it ok to put a narrower tire on a 2001 Ford Ranger?
I am getting new tires and the dealer is suggesting a narrower tire to save cost but I was wondering how this will affect the performance. I now have P225/70R15.
A: It won't corner as well since the contact patch will be smaller. Although, going around corners isn't a Ranger's strength. How much are you really saving? Shop around, the dealer isn't the best place to buy tires. Check online, you can get some better deals.

I dont need anything special just enough to listen to my music loud without blowing the speakers.
A: Go and grab the alpine s series speakers. They are amazing for the money. Best bang for the buck if your looking for a basic replacement with a more than basic sound at a resonable entry level price range. Pioneer are cheap anyway.

After I crank up my truck, my engine cuts off, but if I give it a little gas, it stays on. Also, while I am driving and come to a stop, it cuts off sometimes.
A: It may be a clogged fuel injector or a fuel filter needs to be replaced.
