I bought a used 1992 Ford F150 truck that has glass packs on the exhaust system. I hate the loud noise these make. Can I have them removed? Does it cost much or take long to do this? What is involved?

the heater is just throwing semi warm air, what needs to be changed to make this heater throw hot air again?
A: The thermostat on a 10 year old vehicle needs changing...The heater core also is starting to coat-up. A coolant power flush will clean the system.
Q: What a Vinyl snap on tonneau cover I have been using for my Ford F150 work for a Ford F250?
I am buying my dads Ford F250 and was wondering if I would still be able to use that tonneau cover? My Ford F150 has a 8 foot bed and so does my dads Ford F250. Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.
A: Depends on the year of the truck.
I know that the older model trucks had identical beds. Not sure about the newest models though... I would assume that it would.
Q: 1990 Ford F150 V8 engine leak?
I'm looking to buy a used Ford F150 with an automatic V8 engine. Ther seems to be a slight leak and after looking under the engine it appears to be between where the trans and engine join together? Is this an expensive seal to repair? What is this type of leak called? I'm pretty sure it's oil not ATF. Thanks for your input!
A: If it is oil, then you must replace the Rear main seal. The seal costs less than $10, but you must either pull the engine or remove the transmission. It will be pricey. 6-8 hrs labour
Q: I asked about the grade of oil to use on my 2000 ford F150 .?
the reason I asked is my Ford dealer said it came down to him from Ford to use only use only 5w20 oil or you will probably not get 100,000 miles out of your 4.2.On the shroud of my pickup it said to use 5w30 which i like better.I live in NewHampshire so the winters are cold and the summers warm.any additonal input will be appreciated . A: On ALL Ford gasoline engine equipped vehicles up to model year 2000, use 5W30. On 2001 to current model years, except models equipped with 4.0L SOHC V6 engines, use 5W20. Hope this helps.

A: Any wiring diagram you get for your truck is going to be close to the same. Wiring diagrams don't start getting good until the mid to late 90's. Back then it was normal to have under hood and headlights seperated from under dash etc.... These type of wiring diagrams can be frustrating at best. The best thing you can probably do is study that diagram you have and sooner or later it will start to come together. Good luck.

A: there is a drain plug and fill plug on trans. the fill plug is on the side of trans. the fluid level should be at the bottom of fill plug hole. drain out all fluid until it is at bottom of fill plug hole
