Q: ford f150?
ive got a 1995 ford f150 and when i hit the breaks it kinda taps back at me ... it didnt start tell i got into a car accident any ideas?
A: It has breaks? I did not know trucks took breaks. Oh u mean brakes! If it taps back at you it does not like your heavy foot, but then again if it were new brakes it would mean your rotors did not get turned.
Since it was in an accident, ask your insurance agent if you should get it checked out. Hopefully, everyone was ok from the accident and that it was not your fault.
Good luck!
Q: 1999 Ford F150 Truck- I replaced the connectors on the battery cables and now it shorts?
I had to cut off the connectors for the battery terminals. I put on generic connectors. Now the battery connection often seems to short out. I bang around on the terminals and the connection comes back to life and the truck starts, but its getting old!
It seems hard to change the battery cables out on a Ford F150 so how do I do a proper connector installation to avoid my problem?
A: sounds like you didn't get a good connection at the point where the cable go's into the terminal where the 2 bolts are at. take it apart and clean it really good then put it all back together and clean the battery lugs and inside the new terminals as well with a battery brush. before you put it back together. Make sure the two bolts on the connection are tight.
Q: What is the difference between a ford F150 supercrew and a ford F150 supercab?
I would like to buy some cover seats for my Ford F150 supercrew but I only find cover seats for a supercab . I would like to Know if there is difference between these trucks
A: The SuperCrew has four full-size forward-opening doors, with a full-size rear bench seat; the Super Cab has rear quarter-doors that open in reverse, with a smaller rear bench seat.
If you are buying seat covers only for the front seats, the difference between a SuperCrew and a Super Cab will not matter, since only the rear seats will be different.
You will want to know, however, if the front seats in your F-150 are bucket seats (more common on FX4, Lariat, Harley, and King Ranch) with the console shifter, or a bench seat with the shifter on the column and a flip down center arm rest/console. This may make a difference when buying front seat covers.
Q: on a 1995 ford F150 whare are the buzzers located for the door and the lights?
on a 1995 ford F150 whare are the buzzers located for the door and the lights ?
A: on my 97 f-150 they are in the kick panel on the drivers side.you probably know where the kick panel is but just in case its beside your left foot at the floor
Q: What is the best sound system for a 2007 Ford F150 supercrew?
I have a 2007 Ford F150 Supercrew truck and I would like a put a good sound system in it. I would like good quality heart-pounding bass with good speakers to go with it. I have been looking at pioneer brand but i dont know too much. Pricing on the speakers, subwoofers, and amp would be greatly appreciated along with places where i could go to to get them for the best prices
A: I was in your same situation, I just got a Kicker 12" L5. It pounds hard but its probably not the best sound quality. I would go with JL W7 or W6 series. My friend has a 12W6 in his evo that sounds great. JL makes some great subs in terms of quality but they are not exactly cheap. Then for an amp I would get the Alpine PDX series, they are small, CEA-2006 cerified and they handle same amount of power 2 or 4 Ohm which is great. I have a 600W for my sub and it is awesome. As for places to buy, shops around my city rip you off but you may want to check. Websites include: www.crutchfield.com www.millionbuy.com those two are great, I got my stuff off Ebay and got killer deals.
Check www.JlAudio.com to look at subs. They make boxes that are pre-loaded with subs that are very nice.
A Jl sub and box can be anywhere from about 300-900 dollars
amp you could get for probably 350 max.
If you want to go cheaper I would go with a Kicker pre-loaded box with a CVT or CVR
Good luck man!
Q: How do you replace turn signal bulbs on a 2000 Ford F150 side view mirror?
I have a 2000 Ford F150 Pickup with the optional turn signal indicator at edge of the side view mirror. The bulb has burned out and I can't figure how to get to where it is. The owners manual does not state how to get to it. Thanks
I realize that the mirror has to come apart, but how do you get it apart?
A: Forget the nonsense of having to remove the whole mirror and follow these instructions. NOTE: All mirrors have two upper clips. Mirrors that are not equipped with optional turn signals have two additional clips.
Access the two upper clips.
Position the mirror glass to obtain a gap at the upper edge of the mirror assembly.
Use a screwdriver or similar tool to release the two mirror cover upper clips
Remove the mirror cover.
Disconnect the signal mirror electrical connector
Remove the signal mirror bulb socket.
Remove the signal mirror bulb.
To install reverse the removal procedure
Install the mirror cover.
If equipped, connect the electrical connector.
Apply sufficient force to the mirror cover until it snaps into place.
Q: I need help with installing a water pump on my Ford F150 pickup truck?

Q: How do I change an electronic control module for a 1988 Ford F150 pickup?
Module on the distributer. Can't see how it comes off. 1988 Ford F150 302 V8 automatic 4x4 EFI
Module on distributer, truck turns over until the battery goes dead but wont start, have been told this could be the problem but can't see how it comes off.
1988 Ford F150 302 V8 auto EFI 4x4
So just pull it off get some kind of adhesive remover or just throw a match in the gas tank
A: Sometimes you will have to remove parts like the ac, and thermostat water neck, out of the way.
You will need to mark the distributor base and intake with white-out, disconnect the TFI connector, loosen the distributor and turn it counter clock wise fully, you should have just enough (tight) room to get a 5/32" socket (1/4" drive). It's tight. a few small extentions and universal knuckles make it easier. once you get the screws out , the TFI will come DOWN from the base of the distributor. It has 3 connector pins attaching UP into the base of the distributor.
Don't forget to put new Dielectric grease on the back of the TFI. then put it all back together and match your distributor marks up before tighting it down.
It's a tight job to get the left rear screw out. they are small so be patient and don't over tighten them when replacing them.
This is how I do it on my 1991 F150 with a 5.0 V8.
If you are eating TFI's ..........Look behind the batteries right side.......On the radiator support.........There is a few black (ground) wires attached to a bolt. Take them loose and clean the contact surfaces with a wire brush, and re-bolt them back in place. This is the ground wire point to the TFI. It needs to have a good contact, or you will be burning up TFI's back to back it will seem.

Q: How many dirt bikes will fit in a Ford F150?
I have a Ford F150 and i need to take 3 dirt bikes down to the lake for the weekend. If they won't fit i need to rent a trailer. Does anyone know how many dirt bikes will fit in the back, so i don't have to do a trial run before we go?
A: is it a long bed?
i have fit 3 by putting the middle one facing back and one on each side facing forward... use the middle for the smallest bike...
are these like 650s or 250s?
if they are 250cc or smaller you can stack like a dozen in a truck bed.
Q: Can anyone tell me how difficult it would be to change a Ford F150 over to a regular carb from an EFI system?
I have a 1986 Ford F150 that I have had nothing but problems with the electronic fuel injection system on and I would like to know what kind of difficulty I would have changing it over to a regular carborator system. I already know that I would have to change the intake manifold and get a carborator but what other wonderful types of things do I have to look forward to?
A: It would be way easier to fix the EFI than switch to a carb>
Q: Is 150K miles considered a large amount for a Ford F150 or ford truck.?
I want to buy a used truck and I wanted to know how worn down a Ford F150 or similar ford truck would be considered at 150k miles on it. Also what kind of breakdowns can be expected with a truck (ford or otherwise) with 150K miles on it. Also if this is too many miles how much would be acceptable to last 4+ years?
A: nope it is a lot of miles but if its in goodshape it can go another 300,000 anytime your buying used best to look for signs type in search box how to check a used car wil get you a list of what to look for follow that list and you wil never get a lemon last ford truck i had over 300,000 and was hauling a heavy load with it every day
Q: How do i replace a brake light on my 2006 ford f150?
I have a 2006 ford f150 and i need to remove the rear right taillight assembly without breaking it. how do i do this to replace the burnt out lightbulb?
A: For the lights on the brake lights on the back of the bed take out the four screws that hold it to the body. You will have to let the tailgate down to do this. After you remove all 4 screws the lens assembly should come out very easily. For the brake light on the back of the cab above the back glass, simply remove the 2 screws. The lens assembly may give a little resistance coming off. After you get the assembly off its just a simple matter of twisting the bulb sockets out, putting new bulbs in and putting everything back together.
Q: Where is the fuel relay switch located on a 1991 Ford F150?
I have a 91 Ford F150. I am not getting any fuel to the engine. When I checked the fuel filter, I noticed that I am not getting any power to the fuel tanks. I am thinking that it might be the fuel relay switch, cause to have both fuel pumps go out at the same time is well impossible. Please help.
A: My 93 F-150 had the fuel pump relay in a box of relays in the engine bay over the driver's tire. The relay was a cube shape black plug-in purchased for relatively inexpensive at Auto Zone.
Q: How do i change the front fuel pump in a 94 Ford F150?
I have a 94 Ford F150 with a 5 litre engine 2 wheel drive that is not getting gas. It starts when i spray starting fluid in it. I'm not exactly sure what needs to be removed to get the tank off to change the pump. Does the fuel filter line need to be taken loose first? Can I just take the straps loose and drop the tank without taking anything else apart first? What type of problems should I be aware of before I start this project?
A: If you have a hoist or just a couple of buddies the easiest is to take the bed off and all the access you need is right there. To take off the filler there should be three screws behind the filler door around the gas cap. This is required. Other than that take off your skid plate (my 94 3/4 ton has one, but my 94 1/2 ton did not) and take loose your straps, and keep an eye one the wiring harness leading up to the pump and sending unit (right hand side). Other than that just lower your tank.
