A: It's sounds like your Hi Speed Blower Relay, it's located on the firewall. It's available at any GM Parts Department for $34.40 under part number 12177233.
Q: Is it easy to change the coil springs, shocks, and leaf springs on a 2001 chevy s10?
I have 2001 chevy s10 and I am trying to change the coils spring, front and rear shocks and the leaf springs. I am pretty handy when it comes to automotive repairs but never changed those items. Is it something I should attempt on my own.
A: its not hard, but can be a pain. shocks are easy, but springs and coils can be dangerous. you have to have a coil spring comressor to help install, and that is a bit dangerous, but if you pretty handy, its shouldnt be too hard

I bought a 2001 chevy s10, V6 engine, and the airbag light is does not turn off after the car is started. There is an activation device where you can use the car key to turn on and off the safety airbag system. The switch is turned to activated but the light does not turn off. What can I do to troubleshoot this problem?
A: You might of got Got. Meaning their might not be an Airbag in the place where the airbag should be. Sometimes dealers, repair shops, even valet services take them and SELL them. Go have someone make sure it is there...or not...

Buying new wheels, wondering what the backspacing should be.
A: Not sure what it should be but measure the stock rims.
Lay the rim without tire on it on a flat surface inside down.
Measure the distance from flat surface to center of rim to where the rim bolts to hub.

Q: How do you replace a fuel pump on a 2001 Chevy S10 crew cab pick-up?
A: It's not all that hard to do ,first thing you need yo do is raise the back of your truck up, now remove the pos(+) battery cable. Your going to need a floor jack to hold the fuel tank up, then you need to remove the filler& return hose's from the body of the truck, now you will see the two strips that's holding the tank in place ,you need to remove the nut's from those stripe bolt's , now that yopu have them loose lower the tank slowly until you can to the fuel line's and wire's to remove them once you have them removed you can let the tank the rest of the way down. now that you have it out from under the truck you need to clean around the top of the tank where your going to remove the metal ring so you can get the fuel pump out. Just take your time and be safe it what you do and you wont have any problems.

A: There are two tabs that hold the HL assembly in place. Pull one up, then holding the HL assembly, pull the other one up. Locate the light that is burned out. Remove the harness from the light, then twist the light to remove. Replace with new one, and reverse process. Be careful to not touch the glass of the new bulb. The oil from your fingers and hands will shorten the life of the bulb.

I was told that the fuel pump could be going out, but also that my Chevy has a GMC fuel pump in it and that they always make this sound. This sound has only started around 6 months ago. I was also informed that it could be a bad fuel regulator causing the pump to over work. What is correct?
A: If it is the fuel pump, you may want to change the fuel filter in case it is clogged and making the pump work too hard. If it is not the fuel pump, it may be a throw out bearing if it is a manual transmission. Good luck.
Q: Why is that you don't get heat with the temp Control in the in the fully cw position in a 2001 Chevy S10 ?
A: the inside control unit may be bad on it,,try checking the heater hoses to see if there heating up,if they are,and your sure the thermostat is working on it,it may just need a new control unit on the inside of it,i just got done putting a new on my truck its an 01 model also,those do go bad ,that unit is what divides the heat from the air,and also divides the direction it goes in also,check it out, if its not functioning properly ,that will cause what its doing,good luck with it.
Q: turn signals on 2001 chevy s10?
I have been having problems with my turn signals lately on a 2001 chevy s10. When I turn them on the light inside flashes really fast, and the signal at the rear lighting does not show up, but it flashes really fast in the front as indicated in the truck. I checked and changed the fuses and nothing changed, Does anyone know what is going on? advice? cost of repair? etc.
A: i own a repair shop,and you need to replace the bulbs in the rear of the truck if one goes bad it puts more power to the front ones and makes them flash real fast like that,what id do if i was you is go over all the bulbs,and anyone that has a blackish tint to it id replace it,when they look like this there not going to last much longer,if there not already blown,i own a s-10 also on on the rear back under the truck make sure the little black ground wire hasn't broken loose,Chevy didn't put much of a ground on the back lights,and it will cause a lot of head aches if it breaks or gets loose,but you need to go over all the bulbs,and check them I'm sure that back ones are probably blown ,good luck with it hope this helps.
Q: 2001 Chevy s10 with the ZR2 package and it wont start?
When i first got it, just a couple times it wouldnt start, and id come back in 15 min and it would fire right up. then it got to the point where it wouldnt start at all. i put a new fuel pump in it and it solved the problem for about a week then it started doing the same thing. it only does it when it is cold. i poured gas down the throttle body and it will fire on that gas then it just crankes. all the fuses are good and im kinda stumped. so the problem is sometimes it would start. then if you wait for 10 or 15 min and try again, it will start, the only times it will not start is when it has been siting awhile and the motor is cold. if anybody could let me know a couple things to try it would be much appreciated.
A: if it started when it was cold, you should check the battery. My Dodge neon had the same problem, when I took it into the shop, they replaced the battery B/C the last owner had put a battery in the car that did not have enough cold cranking amps (CCA). the battery had 538, and the neon required 680+. I would give that a shot, and you will get some of your money back from the old battery. Wal-mart takes the cores.
now that it is still doing it, it sounds as though you shorted out one of the cores (the metal plates inside) from the material warping to produce electricity. (how it was described to me). hope this helps.
